Helping teens & pre-teens feel expressive themselves
through mind-body practices
By fostering creativity and developing healthy avenues for self-expression, we help youth deal with the challenges of everyday life. In Exploring Expressive Arts, students explore the creative and performative arts by participating in expressive arts and trauma-informed movement and mindfulness, where they rediscover themselves and their passions.
We find these tools to enable young people to feel comfortable and confident in their bodies and minds. Developed by mental health and mind-body practitioners, our curriculum is well supported by research. We provide practical self-care techniques for emotional well-being during these critical years of psychological and physical change in a safe space.
Expressive arts, like visual art, music, journaling, guided discussion, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques are used to support this work and empower young teens with tools they can use during everyday situations at school, with family members and with friends.
Your young teen will learn to:
- Set positive goals
- Increase their focus
- Improve grades
- Increase confidence
- Decrease depression and anxiety
- Create a positive peer group
